Characteristic properties:
D3100 CLEAR COAT is a two-component acrylic polyurethane, medium solids clear coat especially formulated for spraying over 1K BASE COAT to give it very high gloss and excellent appearance. It has very high weathering and chemical resistance characterizes, also its gloss retention is outstanding.

Suitable substrates & Surface preparation:
This product is specially designed for application over 1K BASE COAT metallic finishes.

Mixing ratio (by volume):
D3100 2K CLEAR COAT: D3100S 2k HARDENER: DX1 UNI Thinner = 100 : 50 : 30

Pot life:
4 hours at 20°C

Spraying viscosity:
15-18 Seconds / DIN 4mm / 20°C.

Spraying process:
-Apply 3 single coats
-Allow 5-10 minutes for flash-off time between coats.
-Dust ingress and minor damages in clear coat can be polished out after allowing to Dry for 2 days at 20°C or 30 minutes at 60°C then flat off with superfine sand paper afterwards polish the area manually or mechanically.

Material usage:
Taking into account a transfer efficiency of 70%, the theoretical material usage for one layer is 8 m2/L ready to spray mixture which calculates to 13 m2/L unthinned paint at 35 µm.
