Ponte 165/185 MOST MOST is an inverter welding transformer suitable for with coated MMA electrodes and for TIG method welding on DC. As dimensions are small and weight is very low (4.0 kg only), this welder can be used almost everywhere. The IP 23 safety class of casing ensures protection from direct operation of rain and allows welding in difficult conditions on a site. The temperature range between -10°C and +40°C. In order to make transportation more convenient this welder is equipped in belt and can be carried on a shoulder. Due to a modern inverter technology Ponte 165/185 MOST provides not only a lower weight, but also very good welding characteristics. Ponte 165/185 MOST is an energy-saving piece of equipment that can be connected even to a weak electricity system, e.g. at home. More over it is resistant to electricity fluctuations up to +/- 15% and hence can be connected to a generator. So called “Lift Start” function, which decreases current of starting an arc, is active while TIG-welding with a non-consumable wolfram electrode. Therefore the usage of a wolfram electrode is lower and inclusions of wolfram to a weld can be avoided. For TIG welding electrode holders with a gas-valve in a handle should be used as well as with a small electrical pin, i.e. 10-25mm. 4m and 8m lengths of TIG holders are available.
While welding with a coated electrode the following functions are active:
HOT START – an increase of a set current while starting the arc for making it easier.
ARC FORCE – when a length of an arc is decreased, the welding current increases and hence the welding current can be adjusted while changing a length of an arc.
ANTI STICK system – limits a short-circuit current and therefore protects from sticking an electrode to a welded material as well as from getting incandescent in case of being stuck.
