Thermoplastic Elastomer is a pre-formulated and pelletized general-purpose thermoplastic elastomer compound based on Styrenic Block Copolymer (SBC).

It is designed for the wire and cable applications and may also be used in place of thermoset rubber. As the compound is based on polycarbon polymers, general PROFLEX™ product is flammable. With adequate amounts of flame retardant, increasing degree of flame resistance can be built into these materials. PROFLEX™ Thermoplastic Elastomer grades are extremely versatile and yield products with a wide variety of properties to suit particular wire requirements.

Being a thermoplastic elastomer,it can be easily processed with general extruders and tools designed for thermoplastics. It can meet the standard of flammability test of UL-94 V0 and is also able to comply with ROHS requirements and it is halogen-free.
