Poltegor-engineering Ltd. known also under its Polish name POLTEGOR-projekt sp. z o.o. has been operating for over 50 years. Till 1992, we were acting as a state-owned mine planing and designing company and since 1992 we have been a limited liability company whose all shares are owned by private individuals. The company's activities are concentrated in two principal areas.

The first one is planning, designing and engineering services and turn-key projects for surface mining of all minerals, including dewatering of mines and slopes stability, also supplying with machinery and electrical, civil engineering and sanitary infrastructure, while assuring high environmental protection standards complying with the European Union regulations.

Moreover, the company services cover the coal and other bulk materials handling, fly ash management and flue gas desulphurization facilities in coal/lignite fired power plants, including waste management (e.g. gypsum storage facilities and wallboard manufacturing plants) and disposal, as well as other civil engineering facilities and constructions. The services include not only planning, designing and consulting, but also the supplies of machinery and general project management on a "turnkey basis". The company has the BSI certificate of quality. Furthermore, it is a registered consulting company of UNIDO, UNDP, World Bank, CERN as well as PHARE and TACIS programs. The engineering activities bring about 70 percent of the company profit, out of which 20 to 40 percent come from overseas contracts - recently mostly from India, Greece, Germany and earlier also from the USA, Canada, China and former Yugoslavia, Serbia and about 20 other countries.
