Lubelski Węgiel "BOGDANKA" S.A. is one of the most modern mines of hard coal in Poland. It was awarded with many prestigious titles as it makes new trends of development in mining in Poland and is the most lucrative mining company in the country. One of BOGDANKA's main strategies is leading initiatives the aim of which are environment friendliness and diversification of company's development.

"EkoKLINKIER" ZCB (Building Ceramics Company) is exactly such an evironment and diversifying oriented initiative of "Bogdanka".

Many years of gelogical research led during hard coal mining in the area of Lublin proved rocks accompanying the beds of coal very useful for production of building ceramic materials.

As a part of LW "Bogdanka" group in mid 90s of the 20th century, taking the accomplished analysis and technical tests into consideration, ZCB "EkoKLINKIER" was built. Its task is highly automatised production of elevation bricks.

Intensive work of technology specialists and cooperation with scientific institutions provided the possibility for precise development of production process of elevation bricks in our factory of bricks. It is the only one in Europe and the second in the whole world in terms of technology and natural resources. This enhances the exceptionality and uniqueness of the enterprise of ZCB "EkoKLINKIER".

The production line launched on licence of a French company Occidental Industries Paris in the Ceramics Company has the yearly production capacity of over 15 million items.

On the turn of 2002 and 2003, basing on our own concepts and technology hitherto, the drying facility was widely extended and modernised, which fulfiled the expactations of our clients in the area of aesthetics and quality.

Thanks to this investment new ceramic products in impressionistic crayon melange colouring have been launched to the market. EkoKLINKIER elevation bricks make new trends in colours of ceramic elevations in Poland.
